New Roads is an integrated addictions centre that provides supports in many areas and ongoing therapeutic and medical supports as well as employment, educational, work experience and transitional supports.

“Being able to express creatively helps us process, helps us heal,” Supriya says. “And I think in Asher’s case it’s definitely part of his healing journey.”

After several months of working with Supriya, Asher’s mental health is flourishing, his body has begun moving, and after the latest diagnosis from his doctors, has written his first song.

Artemis Place’s mission is to provide holistic social and emotional support and high school education to young women and trans-youth in our nurturing community, as well as provide an enriched early childhood experience to infants and toddlers of young parents while modeling care-giving skills and supporting each student in their parenting.
