I offer 1:1 and group sessions, drawing on clinical counselling and/or music therapy, shaped around what works best for you. Here's what each type of session looks like. And how I approach sessions.
1:1 Sessions
In one-on-one sessions, I draw on clinical counselling and/or music therapy, shaped around what actually helps you process, reflect, and grow.
For many people, that means conversation, working through what's on your mind, building insight, and developing tools to cope and change. For others, creative work like songwriting, improvisation, or guided listening opens a different door into the same process. Sessions are in-person or online.

Group Therapy
Group sessions are experiential, with music therapy usually taking the lead and verbal processing woven in throughout. Groups explore common themes like anxiety, addiction recovery, and community connection, through songwriting, rap writing, rhythm, and collaborative music-making, facilitated to create a space where people can be heard, connect with others, and build resilience together.
I facilitate group sessions with community organizations, addiction recovery programs, and healthcare and mental health settings in Victoria.
If you're interested in bringing a group session to your organization, please book a time to speak directly with me, and we can talk through what might fit. You're welcome to check my fees page first to see if it aligns with your budget.
My Approaches
Verbal:
DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy): Building skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and staying grounded in difficult moments.
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy): Identifying patterns in thoughts and behaviours, and building practical tools to shift what isn't working.
Emotion-Focused Therapy: Exploring emotions directly, as a path to understanding, processing, and moving through them, rather than around them.
Music:
Improvisation: Creating music in the moment, with no right or wrong way to play. It offers a way to express what's happening internally, without needing words to explain it first.
Lyric analysis: Exploring the words in songs that already mean something to you, sometimes yours, sometimes ones you love, as a way into feelings and experiences that can be hard to name directly.
Songwriting: Writing original music and lyrics together, shaping raw feeling into something structured and complete. This often becomes a powerful way to process an experience while building a tangible piece of work.
Digital music production: Recording and shaping songs using digital tools, especially useful in linking emotional processing while building knowledge and skills of music production.
